Wild Rose Bud

Wild Rose Bud

Part of a series of photographs documenting the life cycle of a wild rose. This particular bud didn't last an hour after this photograph. When I passed by the plant on my return, it had been neatly nipped off by a tall animal with sharp front teeth (probably a deer).
