Privacy

We believe that addressing your concerns about privacy online is critical. To this end, fredparker.com promises to protect the personal information given to us by visitors to our websites and electronic mail lists. Any information you give to fredparker.com will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to. Resale or disclosure of information to third parties

Fredparker.com does not sell, rent, or lease personal information collected on our website or our email lists. In some cases, we may be required to provide information to law enforcement agencies in the event of a criminal investigation, suspected illegal activity, national security or emergency.

Browser information collected on the website

As with any website operator, fredparker.com analyzes our website logs to constantly improve the value of our website. Our website logs are not personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link them with the individuals that actually browse the site.

Use of cookies

We sometimes use cookies on the site to provide each visitor with a unique aesthetic experience, or to assure that surveys are not taken more than once. We do not attempt to link the cookies to an individual without prior permission and we do not share the cookie with any other site. If the use of cookies makes you uncomfortable, we urge you to set your browser preferences to refuse to accept cookies from our site. This will not affect the information available to you, but you may not be able to participate in some surveys.

Privacy of our email lists

Our voluntary (opt-in) email lists help us to keep you, the press, public, and policy makers informed about topics of interest and breaking events. We do not sell, rent, or lease the addresses on our list to any third party. In addition, we configure our list server software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but us, including other list subscribers. When we use our e-mail list to contact you, the message will be personally addressed. Should you choose not to receive further e-mail from us, just reply with "Remove" as the subject line. Children may not sign up for e-mail lists.

Types of information gathered and intended use

Children may not register on the site, request a quotation or participate in contests or surveys. 

Registration for information resources usually requires only a name and e-mail address. The same is true for contests and drawings. If you win, we will contact you via e-mail to obtain your physical address so that we can send you the prize. 

If you request a quotation for services, including stock photography, we gather enough information so that we can process your request. We never release this information to third parties. In addition to fulfilling your immediate request, this information is kept on file so that we can be aware of your ongoing needs. We will use this information to inform you of photographs, services or news you may be interested in. In doing so, we hope to make ourselves useful and relevant to your business. We never "mass market". Every message you receive from us will be personally addressed and targeted to your specific needs. If we miss the mark, just let us know and we'll stop. 

Occasionally, we run surveys on the site. The purpose of these surveys is to provide information so that we can better serve you or to ask for your opinion on specific topics of interest. Data gathered from these surveys will be aggregated and, if interesting enough, published. If a contest, drawing or other reward is offered as an incentive to participate in the survey, we need to collect your name and e-mail address so that we can notify you if you win. This personally identifiable data will be removed from survey responses before they are aggregated. Your personal data will not be associated with your survey response. Personal data gathered during surveys will not be released to third parties (although the aggregated survey results may be). We may use your e-mail address to inform you of other surveys you might want to participate in. If you do not want this type of communication, just let us know and we'll stop. 

If you receive communication from us after you have requested to opt-out, it is probably because you participated in more than one registration, contest, survey or other transaction (they are kept in separate databases). In this case, please bear with us and let us know that you want to be removed from all of our databases.  

Children

Although the site is intended for grown-ups, the photography section of the site is sometimes visited by children. We do not solicit information or e-mail from children. Personal information from or about children is never purposefully collected or stored in any form for any reason. We never market or sell to children. Children may not register on the site, request a quotation or participate in contests or surveys. However, during the school term we sometimes receive e-mail messages from children, requesting information or permission to use photographs in school reports and projects. We answer as many of these requests as we can. StudyWeb lists our site with four apples. Kids, we encourage you to ask your parents' or teachers' permission before sending any e-mail on the Internet. We encourage you to use your parents' or teachers' e-mail account to send the message.
